ROADIS has sponsored two children from the IICM in Calcutta

Meet Ramit and Sonali

Ramit is 9 years old and lives in a house made of wood and tiles, where he lives with his parents, his grandparents, his uncle and a 3 year old sister. Ramit is passionate about cricket and, thanks to ROADIS‘ help, he will be able to continue studying English, his favorite subject

Sonali is 11 years old and a student at Arapanch Junior High School. She lives in a plastic house with her parents and her two brothers: Usuf and Rajia. She loves to dance and, thanks to ROADIS, she will continue to practice her passion: dancing.

Today we introduce you to Ramit and Sonali because ROADIS has started to finance their training by sponsoring them with a full scholarship at the IIMC in Calcutta.

As you know, ROADIS has been collaborating -for some years- with the WRF and the IIMC in solidarity projects in India. This year we have sponsored the school in Kerala which offers a social and sports education to more than 200 children from disadvantaged rural areas.

If you are interested in learning more about the IICM or want to sponsor a child for less than one euro a day, you have all the necessary information here.

From now on, we will inform you about the progress of Ramit and Sonali and, in the meantime, we continue to advance our policy of Corporate Responsibility!
