Birth of ROADIS

On 29 April, ROADIS was created as an independent company 100% owned by PSP Investments.

January
Construction of the Paraguaçu Bridge in Brazil

Use of sophisticated construction methods which improve road user safety and comfort (km. 495.5 BR-116- Santos Dumont highway).

New milestone with the NH-2 project

The section managed by ROADIS on the NH-2 highway, in India, achieved the Date of Commencement of Commercial Operation (DCCO). This concession corresponds to a 192-kilometre section of the Delhi-Kolkata corridor, one of the largest in the country.

Growth strategy in India

ROADIS bought Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners’ (MSIP) stake in three of its four assets in India, the NH2, NH6 and NH8 highways.

ROADIS arrives in Portugal

With the acquisition of Auto-Estradas do Atlantico and Auto-Estradas do Litoral Oeste (AEA and AELO). From this date, ROADIS manages 10 concessions in 5 countries across 3 continents.

ROADIS becomes a leading partner of the FRM

ROADIS renewed its collaboration with the Real Madrid Foundation, and became its leading partner in India. A significant milestone in the development of our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and our commitment to India.

Transaction closed in India

The purchase of the holdings in highways NH-2, NH-6 and NH-8 was completed successfully.

Opening of the Paraguaçu bridge

The new bridge over the Paraguaçu river in ViaBahía (Brazil) opened to traffic, employing technologies that improve paving longevity and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Operations start in Portugal

ROADIS completes the acquisition of 50% of Auto-Estradas do Atlantico (AEA) and 65% of Auto-Estradas do Litoral Oeste (AELO).

NH-6 debt restructuring

ROADIS becomes the first highway operator to successfully carry out a refinancing plan under the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)’s new regulations.

20th anniversary of Auto Estradas do Atlántico

Two decades during which the concession has experienced difficult times, but has successfully overcome the worst of the financial crisis with traffic levels already back to 2009 levels.

Expansion in India

ROADIS entered into a collaboration agreement with the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) to invest and selectively operate toll highway projects in India.

Creation of the innovation department

ROADIS takes a step forward on the path of innovation, adapting the organisation’s structure by creating the Innovation Department. A department which will work to devise ideas and generate positive impact for ROADIS. Innovation has become a firm commitment for the company; we want it to be part of our DNA, changing the way we do things, and the way we communicate with others.

International safety campaign

With the motto “Your safety is our priority”, the initiative aimes to limit accidents, reduce accident rates and remind users of the importance of respecting traffic rules across all ROADIS concessions.

Agreement to build a viaduct in Mexico

ROADIS and the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation of Mexico agree to build and operate the extension to the Monterrey-Saltillo highway, the Santa Catarina Viaduct (SCV).

ROADIS closes funding to build the SCV

The project will have a total managed investment of approximately 7 billion Mexican pesos. The Viaduct will be financed 100% by ROADIS, through the issue of bonds denominated in UDIs. Additionally, the financing is completed with an investment of 3.5 billion Mexican pesos in equity.
