VIABAHÍA delivers 8 vehicles for the Federal Highway Police (PRF)

VIABAHÍA highway concessionaire has delivered eight new vehicles to the Federal Highway Police (PRF). These equipments are incorporated to the fleet that watches the federal highways in the sections managed by VIABAHIA.

This delivery of vehicles is part of our Corporate Responsibility policy and is part of the partnership agreement signed between the Concessionaire and the Federal Union. Its objective is to improve the safety of the roads administered by the concessionaire (BR-324 between Salvador and Fiera de Santana and BR-116 from Feira de Santana to the border with Minas Gerais).

The PRF Superintendent, Inspector Virgilio de Paula Tourinho and all the heads of PRF stations in Bahia were present at the award ceremony. On behalf of VIABAHIA, the Operations Superintendent, Carlos Napolitano and the Traffic and Road Safety Supervisor, Luciano Macedo, attended the ceremony.

“Equipping the police benefits us all; the users, us at VIABAHÍA and the PRF itself, which will be equipped with new models to improve its operational efficiency,” explains VIABAHÍA’s Operations Superintendent, Carlos Napolitano.

Since the beginning of the concession, VIABAHÍA has already delivered 30 vehicles, 8 motorcycles and other equipment such as notebooks, breathalyzers, printers and diverse furniture. In addition, the PRF posts have been refurbished.
