ROADIS has sponsored the European Infrastructure Finance Summit 2019 which has been held at the Hotel Riu Plaza España in Madrid on October 16th and 17th.
The event, organized by Inframation Group (an Acuris company) has brought together for two days the most important stakeholders of the infrastructure sector.
On behalf of ROADIS, during these days, Esther Ayuso, Head of Europe & Innovation, has participated in the discussion panel: “Infrastructure project procurement – from pitch to approval“.
In this panel, moderated by Ignacio Ruiz-Camara from Allen & Overy, she was accompanied by Francois Bergere from Long-Term Infrastructure Investors Association, Guy Chetrit from the European Investment Bank (EIB), Jens-Peter Walter from Bayerische Landesbank and Robert Watt from Ireland’s Dep of Public Expenditure and Reform.
During her speech, Esther stressed the importance of working with public administrations to educate citizens and public opinion about the importance of public-private partnerships (PPPs). She highlighted the capacity of investors and developers to create value in concession projects and availabilities. And he analyzed improvements that could be expected from the procurement processes we face in the different markets.
During these two days, the opportunities and challenges presented by the sector were widely discussed from very different perspectives: competitiveness, roads and bridges, social infrastructure, etc.
Among those attending, companies such as BBVA, Ferrovial, Acciona, Globalvia, Cuatrecasas, etc.
