ROADIS participates in the mega clean-up of the Santa Catarina River in Mexico

Armed with caps and T-shirts with the ROADIS logo, dozens of company volunteers gathered at the Santa Catarina River to do their bit and contribute to improving the environment by removing solid waste that had been scattered around the river.

Not even the scorching sun, thirst or fatigue dampened the spirits of our employees and their families, who joined in this action organised by the NGOs Cíclica and Red Ambiental, which on this first day was for the benefit of the municipality of San Pedro Garza García.  This initiative will also benefit the municipalities of Monterrey and San Pedro, in the state of Nuevo León.

Today we would like to acknowledge the commitment of Martha Ramos, Sustainability and Innovation; Ana Faz, Purchasing; Cristina Cardona and Sohila Guardiola, HR; Rosy Yáñez, Gabriel Gutierres and Jorge Hernández, Administration; José Guzmán, Víctor Michelet, Víctor Almaguer and Alexa Gómez and Juan Antonio Gaytán, Systems; Mario Benítez, Quality; Romeo Segura, Toll and David Proa, Quality.

We reiterate our thanks to each and every one of those who participated for joining the cause with ROADIS and believing in this type of initiative, because with their help, we reached the goal of collecting 7 tonnes of waste and 93 tyres. We are convinced that such actions bring about significant changes that contribute to caring for the biodiversity of our communities, as well as raising awareness in society about caring for the environment.

In addition, we instil a culture of responsibility by showing how our actions have an impact on the environment. At ROADIS we will continue to seek alliances that allow us to improve the development of the communities where we operate and thus help to mitigate climate change.
